The broadside is available framed

in a hand-made linen bound print folder.

It is framed to conservation standard and mounted on an off white mountboard using archival tape.

The ash frame is a very pale brown with a darker brown grain. It is finished with a clear wax to show of the distinctive grain.

The print folder is bound in linen and lined in acid-free paper. This is our recommended option for purchasers who require postage of the broadside.

Description

The limited edition broadside is an original etching by the artist Margaret Irwin West with poem The Mountain Ash by Joan McBreen, letterpressed by Mary Plunkett of The Belgrave Private Press.

The limited edition of 150 copies is signed by the artist and poet, numbered and dated.

LEGACY The National Fine Art Print Competition 2016

Sisters Susan and Elizabeth Yeats were in the vanguard of the revival of Irish art and artisan crafts in the early part of the last century.  As print artists they published many of the great Irish writers of their time including their brother W.B. through their printing company Cuala Press. Elizabeth also authored a number of stunningly illustrated books on how to paint flowers using watercolours.
